My story with Crab Club, from Saint-Gilles to Flagey: chef Yoth Ondara, creative seafood, eight photos, observed menu prices and booking details in Ixelles.
Some restaurants are places you try once. Others are places whose moves you follow almost as you would follow the adventures of a friend. Crab Club belongs to the second group. I knew it in its early days in Saint-Gilles, remember its spell around Uccle and Drogenbos, and now find it in Ixelles, close to Place Flagey. The address has changed. What draws me back has not: good fish and seafood, imaginative cooking, and an enjoyment of the table that does not require a degree in gastronomic terminology. Where is Crab Club in Brussels? Crab Club is at Rue Alphonse De Witte 40, 1050 Ixelles , near Flagey, in the former Bistrot Marie. Saint-Gilles, Drogenbos, Ixelles: following a restaurant’s story My affection for Crab Club has something to do with continuity. This is not a name I have just picked out of a restaurant ranking. It is a place I remember starting out. La Libre’s La Cuisine à Quatre Mains reported on the opening in September 2015 , with Philippe Emanuelli and Yoth Ondara associated with the venture on Chaussée de Waterloo in Saint-Gilles.
